Obituary for Dwen Veith Merse

Dwen Veith Merse, age 50, passed away on October 12, 2016. Dwen was born to Fred and Ann Veith in Cincinnati, OH, on March 9, 1966. She attended Eastern Kentucky University and settled in Louisville with her husband Tim Merse. They spent several years in Devon, England, while their children were young. While there, Dwen felt most at home and truly was her happiest.

Dwen possessed a vibrant soul and a personality that filled every room she entered. She will be best remembered for her immeasurable kindness, which she showered upon all of those lucky enough to meet her, as well as her ability to make every individual feel important and loved. She relished every opportunity to speak with her loved ones, even just for a moment. Dwen was genuinely the most wonderful woman to have walked this Earth. The world is a much emptier place without her.

She is preceded in death by her father Fred, and mother, Ann. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Tim, as well as their three children, Caitlin, Robin, and Shane of whom she was endlessly proud. Her sister Melissa Veith and brother Michael Veith also survive her.

Services for Dwen will be held privately at a later date.
