Lawrence, Lois B., 96, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016.
Born in Blackburn, Oklahoma, the former Lois Cobb was the owner of Lois’s Beauty Shop for 42 years, and a member of the First Christian Church in Shawnee, OK, and she attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Louisville. Lois was a child of the Great Depression from rural Oklahoma who grew to be a rock for her family. She loved steadfastly and was loved in return.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lee Lawrence; and siblings, Hazel Scott, Pat Cobb and Jack Cobb.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Sharon Brown (David); sisters, Mary Martin and Dorothy Holliwell (Dean); grandson, Richard Lawrence Brown; and great-grandchildren, Emma Grace and Noah Joseph Brown.
Her funeral service will be at 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2233 Woodbourne Avenue. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Sunday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Burial will take place in Resthaven Cemetery in Shawnee, OK.
