I began my teaching career at Ky State Reception Center.  Hugh was the principal.  In the summer we would schedule field trips for those residents who could leave the building.  For our Mammoth Cave trip we had two 60 passenger buses.  Hugh was in charge on the first one and I was in charge of the 2nd one.

The first bus took off and In told my driver to follow.  Uneventful trip all the way.  We reached our destination. and I got off my bus and waited for Hewit T. to get off the 1st one.  Didnt happen, so I boarded first bus.

 NO HEWITT  T !.  One other teacher and I  unloaded bothbuses.  (Tere were no cell phones in those days!!)

IN about thirty minutes Hugh arrived in a state car.  Needless to say, he was not  a happy camper.

However, the kids enjoyed the cave an we managed to get them ALL back to the center!
